Five teenage boys from an icy Colorado mountain town sneak out to Canyonlands National Park in Utah to spend the night out in the wilderness. But when the sun comes up and they can’t find their way back, the boys must confront the elements and their own independence, and decide how much they’re willing to sacrifice for each other.

CANYONLAND is a new musical about isolation, connection, masculinity, and how we decide who to be. This first public reading is an important step in the development of this new work.
