RAVEN THEATRE COVID-19 PROTOCOL

Last Updated (4/8/2022)

Welcome back to Raven Theatre! We are so excited to have artists and audiences back in our space. As we invite live theatre back into our lives, we have adopted protocols to ensure our space is both comfortable and safe for our audiences, artists, and staff members. Those guidelines and requirements will be outlined and updated on this page. Raven will be monitoring local, state, and federal guidelines and reflect any changes here:

ATTENDING A PRODUCTION:

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Attendance requirements: Proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 (along with a matching photo ID) and masking is required to attend this event.

Our attendance requirements will remain in place until otherwise stated by Raven Theatre, and may not necessarily mirror state or city requirements. After careful consideration, we believe these requirements will help us ensure the safety of our community and the longevity of our productions. If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or are uncomfortable attending, please contact our box office to reschedule your tickets free of charge.

PROOF OF VACCINATION
Persons are considered ”fully vaccinated” when 14 days have passed since receiving the second dose of FDA or WHO authorized double-dose vaccines (such as Moderna or Pfizer) or 14 days since receiving the single dose of FDA or WHO authorized single-dose vaccines (such as Johnson & Johnson). Raven Theatre will accept the following proof of vaccination:

– CDC Vaccination Card (Hard copy or a photo on your smart phone)
– Vaccination/Immunization Record (from a health provider or online portal)
– Apple Wallet, Google Pay, or another verified smartphone application/platform:
IDPH Vax Verify Portal, VaxYes, Clear Health Pass, Common Pass, VeriFLY, and more.

Please note: To protect your medical privacy, Raven Theatre will NOT retain any medical documents on file. Please do not mail or email us any documents. All guests will need to present proof of vaccination at every event.

If you have questions about our vaccination requirements, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
For more information on how to get vaccinated against COVID-19, please visit www.vaccines.gov

MASK REQUIRMENTS
Masks will be required the entire time patrons are inside Raven’s facilities. The following masks are recommended to best stop the spread of COVID-19:

– Non-medical disposable masks (also available on site).
– Masks that fit properly (snugly around nose and chin, no gaps around the sides of the face).
– Masks made with breathable fabric, such as cotton.
– Woven Masks (fabrics that do not let light pass through when held up to a light source).
– Masks with two or three layers or inner filter pockets.

YOUR VISIT & THEATRE OPERATIONS
Please have your vaccination proof and ID ready upon entry. Promptly head toward the box office and our staff will confirm your proof and check you in. For health reasons, we will not be selling concessions (including access to our water fountain) and will not permit outside food and beverages. Lobby restrooms will be available. To manage crowding, we ask that patrons remain conscious of their surroundings when exiting the theatre. Actors will not be available inside our facilities after the show.

RESCHEDULING TICKETS
If you are not feeling well or concerned about attending, we can easily reschedule your tickets, free of charge. Patrons who are unable to provide vaccine proof will also be rescheduled, allowing more time to gather the listed requirements.

AT RAVEN
The Raven Staff has worked hard to ensure that our facility is clean and comfortable for our guests. Our facilities are cleaned daily, and all high-touch surfaces are sanitized regularly throughout events. Our administrative and artistic staff are fully vaccinated, and we have instated several COVID-19 officers that will function as a resource for our guests and staff. We have also improved our HVAC system for proper ventilation, as well as provide hand sanitizer and disposable masks for those who need them.

SUMMER CAMP GUIDELINES:

VACCINATIONS
Families will be asked to upload their camper’s vaccine cards when they complete their registration. Vaccine cards must be provided in advance of the first day of camp. If you have any questions, please Mechelle Moe, Director of Education (mechelle@raventheatre.com)

MASKS
The City of Chicago requires all guests, regardless of age and vaccination status, to wear a face-covering while inside Raven Theatre.

PICK/UP DROP-OFF
Parents will not need to show vaccination cards when picking up and dropping off campers.

PERFORMANCES
Parents and guests will be required to follow Raven’s COVID-19 policies when attending the camp performances (see above “Attending a Production” requirements).

We thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation. We understand that this is a challenging time, but our overall goal is to provide a pleasant experience where we can all enjoy live theatre once again. We are so happy to have you back!
